What are your processing times for assets?

Donations go through two phases. First, the assets must be transferred from your account to our Cocatalyst managed accounts. That process is subject to the processing times of your broker. We outline this in extensive detail our processing times with various brokers in our Research Articles.

After we receive the stock, we go through the Cocatalyst processing and disbursement, which can be as short as 3-5 business days. We will sell the shares immediately after we receive it. We'll also verify the charity recipient is valid with the IRS and cross-reference if they have already paid out on our platform before. Once that process is complete, we will mail a check or ACH the funds to the charity. 

Note: if the charity is a religious group or has their legal entity in a different name than what was provided to us, the processing times may be higher until we can contact the charity to verify they are compliant with the IRS 501(c)3 rules.
